Jesus tells a story about a sower who sowed seed in different kinds of ground. The seed that fell on good ground brought forth grain thirty fold, sixty fold and some a hundred fold. The fantastic numbers Jesus cites emphasize the immense power of His word as it is spoken to us. There is no proportion between what we contribute to God’s kingdom and what He accomplishes through us.

We never know how many times even a single act of kindness will be multiplied in God’s hands, or how the harvest of a lifetime of dedicated service to some noble cause will be increased a hundred fold by God.

The seed of God’s word has immense power to reproduce and bear fruit in our lives. All God asks is that we provide good soil by having faith and trust in Him and He will do the rest. He will take our talents and use them to build His kingdom in the hearts of His people.
