Who was Saint Cyril of Jerusalem?

St. Cyril (315-387) was born near Jerusalem and he became patriarch of the city from 350 until his death. Cyril’s teachings on Christian doctrine and specifically those addressed to new Catholics and converts are treasures of theological literature, for which he was named a Doctor of the Church.
